Both Sides of the Docket
Tom Selleck's legal career began in 1986 as a Brazoria County Assistant District Attorney, where he served for approximately nine years — including prosecuting repeat and violent offenders in the Major Offender Unit from 1989 to 1995.
He then spent 25 years in private practice handling criminal and civil litigation and trial work. In 2020, Governor Greg Abbott appointed him Brazoria County Criminal District Attorney, and in 2023 he began his elected term leading the office.
